Tuniversal is a versatile tuner app and practice tool specifically designed for woodwind and brass players, rather than catering solely to guitarists. This innovative application provides a comprehensive range of features without the intrusion of advertisements, mandatory sign-ups, or in-app purchases.

With six distinct modes available, Tuniversal offers a tailored experience:

 <li>Automatic Tuner: Play a note, and the app will detect it automatically, indicating whether it is sharp or flat. Users can easily navigate between graphs that display both frequency and volume levels.</li>
 <li>Scales & Intervals Practice: Choose from various scale types (major, minor variants, chromatic) and practice modes (scales, thirds, arpeggios). The app counts you in and tracks your pitch, providing scoring upon completion for accuracy assessment. You can also listen to the selected scales to enhance your ear training.</li>
 <li>Long Note Practice: Select a note and desired duration while adjusting dynamics such as crescendo or decrescendo. The app scores accuracy in both dynamics and pitch after completing the exercise. Calibration features are included for optimal results.</li>
 <li>Pitch Pipe: Utilize this mode to hear notes and practice tuning by ear, giving valuable auditory feedback.</li>
 <li>Metronome: Users can set their tempo via a slider or screen tapping, choosing between traditional swinging metronome display or flashing visual cues.</li>

The app also includes extensive settings allowing users to adjust various parameters:

 <li>Frequency Adjustment: Alter the frequency of A to accommodate non-standard tuning within ensembles or with instruments like pianos.</li>
 <li>Instrument Selection: Automatically transposes notes based on the selected instrument and provides concert pitch notation for transposing instruments.</li>
 <li>Volume Calibration: Enables precise scoring during long note exercises by evaluating sound intensity.</li>
 <li>Tuning System Options: Choose between equal temperament or just intonation for tailored tuning experiences.</li>
 <li>Microphone Sensitivity: Customize sensitivity to optimize note detection according to playing conditions.</li>
 <li>Player Skill Level: Adjust scoring strictness based on player proficiency—from beginners to advanced musicians.</li>
</ul>
Tuniversal also includes options for visual preferences such as dark/light mode and supports headset mic use. Additionally, users can easily reset settings to default for simplified management.
